About Us
The Office of the Township School Treasurer is one of the oldest units of local government in the State of Illinois.
The Office of Trustees of Schools, originally elected officials to oversee the Treasurer’s Office, was established in 1819 and given the responsibility of
appointing and directing the Township School Treasurer. The Trustees are now each appointed by their District’s Board of Education and serve a two-year term.
The Niles Township School Treasurer’s Office provides consolidated treasury services for the public school districts in Niles Township, Illinois. Niles
Township includes the communities of Lincolnwood, Morton Grove, Niles, and Skokie.
